Scholarships & Financial Aid
The following scholarships are available to assist families and professionals. Scholarship funds are granted to people who meet the specific criteria for each award and may not be used for purposes other than what the award has stipulated. Please review the specific eligibility requirements for each award before applying.
The Freida Gay Amplification and Assistive Devices Award
This award provides help in purchasing ear molds, hearing aids, assistive devices, assistance with repairs, or preliminary cochlear implant evaluation costs. Applicants must be 0-18 years of age and living in the State of Florida.
Maximum award is $250.00 per family.
2010 program information has been posted.
The deadline for applications was March 15, 2010. Award Program is now closed until 2011.
Scholarship awarded by May 1st of each year.
The Marge Stibick Educator’s Award
This award is to help defray cost of auditory/oral or auditory/verbal training coursework. Applicant must be a teacher/therapist of the DHHS, Speech Pathologist, or Audiologist currently employed in the State of Florida. Applicant is also required to be a member of AG Bell. Recipient must provide a review article for the AG Bell Florida Web Site or Chapter Newsletter following completion of coursework.
2009 Program is CLOSED and not available until 2010.
Maximum award is $500.00 toward coursework costs and expenses.
2010 program information and application will be posted in mid-July.
The deadline for applications is September 15, 2010.
Scholarship awarded by November 1st of each year.
Workshop, Seminar, and Conference Financial Aid
This award is offered to offset the costs of attending workshops, seminars, and conferences. Applicants must be parents of a child that is deaf or hard of hearing.
Maximum: 1 night’s hotel expense and registration costs.
